George worked in the Australian Taxation Office for over 30 years predominantly in a compliance role in a number of different business segments. He was part of a Public Groups and International Operations team specialising in transfer pricing cases from 2002 to 2015 (the last five years as Technical Leader of this team).

He has in-depth experience of transfer pricing matters including reviews and audits, Advance Pricing Agreements and Mutual Agreement Procedures (where he has been involved in face to face negotiations with other tax administrations).

George retired from the Australian Taxation Office in 2015. He has since been engaged as a tax consultant with programmes sponsored by Financial Services Volunteer Corps and the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development working to assist tax administrations in developing countries to increase tax audit and transfer pricing capability. George is also on the OECD Roster of Tax Experts of the TIWB initiative.
